About This Site

A New Mexico booking photo can belong to a county jail file, while a state corrections photo belongs to a New Mexico Corrections Department profile. Courts hold the later case record. This privately operated reference brings those source types together and routes readers to official county paths. It does not host booking-photo galleries or original government records.

How the Records Fit Together

New Mexico does not use one statewide public jail roster. Each county and city system has its own booking records, online tools, and release practices. A county roster may show people still in custody, while the agency keeps the booking sheet after a roster entry is gone. NMCD covers state incarceration and probation or parole. The courts record case events and dispositions. A result from one layer cannot answer every question about the others.

New Mexico Busted Mugshots is a private reference service. It points readers toward those official sources and explains their limits. It has no connection to a sheriff’s office, jail, court, NMCD, or other government agency. It cannot release a person, verify a live custody status, or supply a government record.

Statewide Lookup Topics

The New Mexico pages describe these records and routes in plain language:

  • The home page explains booking records, county rosters and feeds, records requests, and custody changes.
  • The Most Wanted Fugitives page describes the state corrections fugitive list and safe warrant-check steps.
  • The Mugshot Laws page covers public access, exceptions, expungement, and publisher correction paths.
  • The County Directory routes readers to the New Mexico county sites.
  • The NMCD offender search page explains state custody profiles and photos.

What This Service Cannot Do

This is not an official New Mexico government service. Only the agency with the original record can confirm current custody, verify a release, or issue a booking photo. The court clerk handles official case files. The reference pages cannot:

  • Release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody.
  • Post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for another person.
  • Give legal advice or file a court document.
  • Guarantee that an agency phone number, fee, or address is still current.

For a current location, charge, release, or original record, contact the county custodian, NMCD, or court that holds it. A directory link can help identify the right office, but only that office can verify its own file.

Search Partner Disclosure

Some search boxes are operated by outside providers. Those partners set their own prices, services, and results. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, New Mexico Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee. That fee helps support the site. The site does not control the services, pricing, or records its tools search.
